This course is often done the day before our waterfall rappelling course.  We will meet at our White Mountain Basecamp in Twin Mountain at 9am.  From there we will get put together all the gear we will be using and explain the use and function of each piece. After a short talk on gear and rappelling, we will hop in our cars and head over to a small local waterfall or cliff to learn and practice our new skills.  We will talk about how we set up our rappel, safe anchoring techniques, protecting ourselves at the top of the falls, and how to use the ropes and equipment properly.  We will each take a few turns rappelling the small falls or cliff to refine our new techniques before hopping back into our cars and heading back to the Basecamp for debrief.  The day usually ends around 3pm.

This course is designed for beginners.  No previous experience is required.

All technical gear is provided. This includes harness, helmet, belay device, and a locking carabiner. Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing for the day, as well as lunch/snacks and plenty of water.  Be sure to bring sunblock and bug spray. A towel, fresh clothes, and shoes are always nice. A personal camera is also recommended. A pair of sturdy hiking boots are a requirement for this course.

Full payment is required when scheduling.  Any cancellations within 7 days of the climb will not be eligible for a refund.  Cancellations before the 7 day cutoff will receive a full refund.  As professional mountain guides, our cancellation policy helps with our guides job security.
