Learn to Lead Ice
This a advanced course that is designed for those with previous experience ice climbing. We will discuss proper screw placements, how to protect your second, ice anchors, and belaying a second. We will start off mock leading with a top rope backup, placing screws as we would on lead. Dependent on your technique, you may be allowed to lead a short and easier route.

Gear List
This is a required personal gear list for our Learn to Lead Ice course, you are responsible for bringing these items. All technical gear is included (Ice tools, harness, crampons, helmet, ropes) mountaineering boots and gaiters are available for rental, please be sure to reserve ahead to make sure we have the right size in stock.

This course can be tailored to fit your level of climbing experience. A strong level of fitness and previous experience is required

Important Information
Full payment is required when scheduling. Please do not make travel arrangements until a confirmation email is received. Travel insurance is highly suggested. Any cancellations over 30 days of your adventure will receive a full refund. Any cancellations within 30 days of your adventure will be credited as NRMG credit. Within 14 days of your adventure, no cancellations or rescheduling will be allowed and any fees will be forfeited. Multiple day trips have a non-refundable $50 per person booking fee. Any weather related cancellations from NRMG will include a credit for another trip. As professional mountain guides, our cancellation policy helps with our guides job security. Must sign waiver. Subject to weather. 14+ with parent/legal guardians signature required.
